The Little Angels School

When I saw black Jesus in Ghana at the Chale Wote Festival I had no idea that I'd be joining him on the coast of Kenya to paint a mural at The Little Angels Orphanage. The Black Jesus I saw is actually an artist from Ghana named Rufai. I got connected with him through a mutual friend and realized we would be in Kenya during the same time. 

Rufai invited me to visit him at the Little Angels School in Mombasa. He was staying there for a few weeks working on murals and teaching the kids. We built as artists. I shared in conversations with the staff over tea and meals. The kids melted me in ways I didn't know possible. It was an amazing experience. The stay was too short. The experience was too real.
