I’ve been pursuing love my whole life. The Adinkra symbol ‘Odo New Fie Kwan’ translates to “Love never loses its way home”. It represents the power of love.

I understand that our truest passions and desires are fueled by love. During moments of distance and confusion (like doing what you have to do, so you can do what you love to do), your heart’s desire will always stay with you. It’s up to you to actualize it.

The protea in this painting is surrounded by fragments of glass. Like it just came out of a “break in case of emergency” box. It floats like that flower from Beauty and the Beast. It stands on its own while being crowned by the Adinkra symbol. The placement of the symbol prioritizes the lesson - pursue your passion and let your love fuel your actions to accomplish your dreams.
